Homemade Organic Hot Chocolate
Real Organic Chocolate melted into hot milk with warming spices make this ancient Mayan drink come to life.

dark organic chocolate
4
cups
organic whole milk
use vegan alternatives as needed
1
vanilla bean, scraped
1
tbsp
cinnamon
(reserve 1 tsp for topping).
1
tbsp
maple syrup or coconut sugar
pinch
pink Himalayan salt
Instructions
Roughly chop the chocolate and place into a pot over low-medium heat. Stirring with a wooden spoon to ensure it does not burn.
Meanwhile, slice the vanilla bean in half and with a knife scrape out the inside and reserve.
Once the chocolate is melted, add everything but the milk. Stir well for about 1 minute.
Slowly pour in the milk, whisking until the milk is heated through and the mixture is a consistent color.
Pour into mugs, top with extra cinnamon.
Notes
For an extra special cup, top it off with coconut whip cream! Yummy.
