I have something I need to admit, I am one of those super annoying morning people. There I said it. You know when you stroll into work with your coffee and you are not yet ready to speak to other humans and there is that one bubbly person that walks in and is full of energy that greets you with a big “good morning!” and a huge smile. You know the one, yes, sorry world but that is me.
I just love the quiet of mornings, before the business of my kids, work and my day begins. This is my special quiet time where it is still dark outside and I get to watch the sunrise and a new day begin. Part of my morning routine is often making a juice in the morning, which provides me a ton of raw nutrients from fruits, vegetables and powerful herbs and spices that fuel my tank for the day ahead.
I created this Sunrise Turmeric Elixir to capture that color and warmth of the bright, golden sunrise and the energy that it infuses. Sunrise Turmeric Elixir
Ingredients
- 2 medium golden beets, washed and chopped
- 6 large carrots
- 1/2 inch piece fresh turmeric root
- 2 large navel oranges
