I am not a doctor or CBD expert, however, as a Certified Holistic Nutrition & Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner, I support people to address unpleasant symptoms, support health and wellness through the use of particular nutrients, wellness practices, and supplements. Over the past 2 years, I have seen a dramatic increase in clients coming to me with prescriptions of CBD oil. Typically, my clients are using their prescribed oil to address Anxiety, Sleep Disturbances, PTSD, & Chronic Pain (1). Now, there are several strains and dose ratio’s of CBD oil that are intended for different uses and symptomatology. Therefore before you dive into the word of using CBD I strongly recommended speak to your doctor for a referral and find a reputable company that can advise you on the best dose, ratio, and strain of CBD oil you need to achieve the health results you desire.

Now in saying all that, the negative stigma of using CBD oil is starting to drop off a bit. Your mom, brother, or grandma may be consistent customers. What I hear most often from clients is that they were able to use the oil and stop taking the strong sleeping pills or arthritis cortisol creams that caused several other unpleasant side effects. Now with using CBD oil they have reduced anxiety, pain and are sleeping better but don’t have the digestive issues or foggy mental function that accompanied the pharmaceutical drugs. For many people, this has made giving CBD oils a shot to find a more holistic approach to symptom management.

Where negative stigma still exists it is usually around the idea that those that use this CBD products whether it’s in creams, baths, bites, or even lattes is that CBD along will NOT get you high. “Cannabis” is the marijuana plant, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis that gets the user “high”. CBD (cannabidiol), the main nonpsychoactive component of Cannabis sativa plant. Cannabis has been used in medical applications for decades, especially in the management of symptoms of cancer treatments.(2) This area will be interesting to follow as new research comes out, and new products!

I believe that each person needs to identify what they need for their optimal health and wellness, and once you find that you should do what makes you feel the best. Therefore, I threw the hesitation of making a CBD oil recipe out the window and wanted to provide it for ALL my clients and those that use this plant as part of their health regime. So without further ado here is my Feel Good CDB-Infused Latte.

In great health,

Joanna
